New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas has been ruled out with a knee injury he suffered in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.
Thomas took a hit from Minnesota DB Akayleb Evans, which forced him out of the game and to the injury tent in the first quarter.
After being evaluated, he was seen on the sidelines in a baseball hat and sat on the bench with position coach Kodi Burns. The team said on X that he suffered a knee injury and was questionable to return. His status would later be downgraded to out.
Thomas had one catch for nine yards on the Saints first drive of the day. In his absence, rookie A.T. Perry got his first career catch, which went for 23 yards.
New Orleans was down 24-3 at the half.

Thomas was arrested on Saturday after a confrontation with a construction worker near his home. He is facing simple battery and criminal mischief charges and was released that night.
The two-time All Pro wideout missed the 2021 season with an ankle injury and only played three games last year as he recovered from a toe injury that required surgery. In nine games this season, he has 38 catches for 439 yards and a touchdown.
